Night Pilgrimage of the Virgen de Gracia (Romería Nocturna)

Thousands set out from Archidona after dark and walk the winding route up to the Santuario de la Virgen de Gracia, keeping the image and each other company through the night. Most carry lanterns or torches, and the procession has the feel of a shared vigil rather than a march.

Walkers reach the sanctuary as dawn breaks, timed to coincide with the last night of the town’s Real Feria de Agosto down below.
