Real Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor — Free Entry Tuesdays

Perched above Antequera on the site of the old Roman forum, Santa María la Mayor is regarded as one of the finest Renaissance churches in Andalusia, with a coffered ceiling and a Plateresque façade that overlooks the town and the Peña de los Enamorados beyond.

The church no longer holds regular services, so visits are self-guided; Tuesday afternoon is the one window each week with no admission charge.
