Anchovy Festival (Fiesta del Boquerón Victoriano)

Rincón de la Victoria has built its fishing heritage around the anchovy, and this six-day fiesta on the Paseo Marítimo is the town’s biggest celebration of it. Expect free tastings, cook-offs and stalls serving the boquerón victoriano prepared every way going, from fried to marinated.

Verdiales bands, the region’s distinctive folk music with its wide-brimmed, flower-covered hats, provide the soundtrack, and the whole event doubles as an unofficial send-off for summer along this stretch of coast.
